i just remembered something i wanted to write about a long time ago!
the three day novel contest!
on august 30th and 31st and september 1st i did this thing called the three day novel contest. it’s where you write a novel in three days. when i first went on to the site i thoght i was gonna have to go somewhere so that they knew i really wrote it in three days. but i read it and it said you can write it anywhere you want and then you just send it in. it goes by the honor system.
well, i was honest. fure sure.
so mine was about this family that had two brothers and a sister and parents. i don’t know if i can tell you the title but it had not very much to do with the plot. the main thing that happened was one of the brothers ran over another kid with his car. and it’s just about what happens in the family after that.
it was hardcore though! i mean, the writing process. it was like a homework assignment that i really didn’t want to do but i knew if i didn’t do it i would fail the class. actually, for me it was the last weekend of summer before school started again. i really wanted to give up and i think maybe the only reason that i didn’t was because i had to pay fifty dollars just to sign up for the contest.
the reason i remembered i wanted to write about it was because my brother was just texting me about the book "Walden" by thorough (spelled wrong…who cares.) and i remembered thinking about Walden when i was writing my book. the book i wrote has a lot of parallels between that family and my family and i thought when i was writing it about that line in Walden that goes "i should not talk about myself so much if there were anybody else i knew as well" and i said to myself i wouldn’t write about my own family if i knew any other family as well.
i can’t really remember exactly what it is that i wanted to write about though…so now i’m just kind of babbling on. well… i think i’ll stop now.
oh btw, i died my hair green the other day. and i’m dyin it blue next week. if the blue dye i got last week wasn’t so cheap it wouldn’t have turned green and i’de have blue hair now like i wanted to.
